Questions

Questions before you book

What happens at a first visit?

You start with a consultation: how your skin behaves across the year, what you do outdoors and what you use. Your esthetician looks at your skin under a lamp, then gives a facial from the current season. Plan on 90 minutes.

Why is there a facial for each season?

The air here is high and dry, and the weather changes what skin needs: wind and cold in winter, pollen in spring, strong sun in summer. Each facial is paced to that, so the visit isn't the same in January as in July.

How long does a visit take?

The consultation alone is 30 minutes. The seasonal facials run 45 to 75 minutes, and the first visit with both is 90. Every service on the menu lists its own time.

How often should I come?

Many clients come once a season, so four times a year. Some come monthly. Your esthetician sets the pace with you at your last visit.

Can I come right after a day in the sun or wind?

Yes. Tell us when you book, or at the start of your visit. If your skin feels sore from sun or wind, we may suggest a calmer facial or another day, and we'll tell you why.

Do you see men?

Yes. The shave-day facial is for men, paced around shave day and time outdoors, with the same warm towels and the same short routine to take home.

Who should ask a doctor first?

If you are pregnant or might be, take a prescription skin medicine or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before you book. Tell us at booking so we can plan around it.

What happens when you suggest a dermatologist?

Your esthetician says so at the visit and explains why. She doesn't diagnose, and she doesn't promise that a facial will change a skin condition. If your doctor agrees, she can still see you for calmer visits while you wait for an appointment.

How does pricing work?

Prices aren't printed on this site. They depend on the service, its length and any add-ons, and the booking page shows them when you choose a service, before you confirm.

How do cancellations work?

We take no deposit. Please give 24 hours' notice to move or cancel, and call us if the roads are bad and we'll move your visit.
